The ability for developing countries to help their nations narrow the 'digital canyon' depends on the provision of affordable and accessible access to technology, particularly in its application to enhancing education, improving healthcare and nurturing local economies through small business.  Policy makers, government, academia, the private sector and civil society organizations all play a role in ensuring that marginalized communities benefit from information and communications technologies.

Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF) knows that by integrating technology training and leadership development, we are shaping the next generation of young leaders.  YTF envisions a society in which young people are equitably empowered to use their technology, education and entrepreneurship acumen to live economically and socially viable lives.

Youth for Technology Foundation is the pioneer of the Community Technology and Learning Center (CTLC) movement in and for developing countries, with a special focus on Africa.  An embodiment of YTF's vision is West Africa's first CTLC, the Owerri Digital Village (ODV), an extended learning model for community technology centers that bridges the technology, education, cultural and community divides.  Through innovative after-school programs, YTF opens a new world of opportunities to rural youth, helping them realize their greatest potential.
